Jim (aka King of Diamonds) is our 11 year old, 14.2h piebald cob gelding.

We bought Jim in Dec 2007 from a lady near Kelso who had only had him for 6 months.  He had been out of work for those 6 months and we found him quite a challenge after our previous 30 year old 12.2h pony!  I have just found out that Jim was rescued from some cruel owners when he was 18 months old and then after being broken in, had a happy life (apart from being hit by a car!), competing and hunting before he came up to Scotland!

Jim is fairly laid back but can be quite lively when he feels like it!

Jim hasn’t done much for the last couple of years as he had to have an operation on his leg after slipping and falling at pony camp.  However, now ready for action again in 2014!

Sadly Val had to be put to sleep in Sept 2012 due to deterioration of his previous leg problems so Jim back on his own again – and he’s not very happy about that!
